The FedEx Lady...

Probably like many of you here, with the ammunition shortage going on and all, I was getting pretty low myself, so...

Found a place on the left coast called LAX ammunition and ordered a thousand rounds each of .223, 9mm and .45. This on time delivery kept getting delayed everyday until finally it didn't even show a delivery date on my tracking numbers (multiple packages). I finally got a recorded message yesterday saying it would arrive today, well kiss my grits, it did finally!

This skinny little gal shows up and honks her little van horn, so I go out to get my ammo. I had to chuckle a bit with her trying to get it all from the back of her van to the sliding door so I could take it. All the boxes were pretty heavy as you may imagine.

Now I can rest easy knowing I have a few months of ammunition on hand until hopefully this craziness runs its course. Then again, I think I'll be conservative with practice ammo until all is well, just in case.

Not being a re-loader, a minimum of 1K rounds of ammo for each weapon I own is my minimum comfort level for something unexpected, how about you?

Funny. I got 3 cases of shotgun ammo myself today. My UPS guy is used to stuff from Midway and the like.

The delay was her waiting for someone to help her load the truck.

I just got word my AR receiver is ready for pick up, about to go out the door.

I agree 1k each is where one should be.

I am far short but working on it.  Got about 8k in .22 though.

You know I thought about that myself. I shoot trap every week and have maybe a little over a flat of 12 ga. left. But so far, that's about the only ammunition Wally World has in stock in my local area.

Love me some trap.

Just ran across a deal on a used Remington 1100 magnum. Had to run to the range today for "testing" purposes.
