M1 Garand - Adjustable Gas Plug

How hard is an adjustable gas plug to install? What kind of price are they? Does anyone have one and is it easy to adjust? Is there any problems using current factory ammo with this adjable plug? It's gettting hard to find surplus M2 ball and I was wondering if this would allow use of regular 30-06 150g ammo. Input please.

I did a little online research on Garand adjustable gas plugs and found a source at Brownell's for $39. I also watched a video on You Tube and saw how to install and adjust for correct cycling of operating rod/bolt. You just remove gas plug lock and screw in adjustable plug, then shoot and adjust until you get proper cycling. Looks easy, I may try after getting some more 30-06 ammo.
