Hornady 300aac deformed case

I just bought 2 boxes of Hornady 300aac brass. I put all 50 of the first one in a tray to inspect this new brass.  This is going to be the first reload of this cartridge.  So in the picture you'll see the case which doesn't look like the rest of them. 

 

I have an email into Hornady about this.

 

Can anyone explain at what process this brass stopped? I know they aren't trimming down .223 brass.

Call Hornady.  If you have the lot number on the box, they might give you a prize as a way of saying sorry.

I have actually seen that with factory loaded.... I want to say Remington or Winchester .45 ammo. I was curious how that happened as well.
