Poor Boy's Trigger Job?

Came across this while reading up on single action revolvers just a few minutes ago.  It is called a "poor boy's trigger job".  The author does it on a Ruger Blackhawk, but it can also be done on Smith and Wesson, Colt, and Taurus revolvers as well (as stated in the article).

I just now done it on my Ruger Single Ten and there is a noticeable difference in the trigger pull.  It took about 5 minutes.  Has anyone else done this?  The author says it will not hurt the gun if it is a good quality firearm.  He says he has done it countless times with great success.

Just figured I would share this with those of you that have revolvers.

I have used that method on my RugerSingle Six with great success but when I did it on my Single Ten I noticed the trigger was slow to return. Some times I would need to push the trigger forward to reset it! I decided to return it to it's original position with no further issues. I found that the SingleTen shoots about the same as my SingleSix. May consider a Wolff spring set in the future. I see we both live in Maryville, stay in touch with your progress with your Ruger Thom
