Just a little about me and what brings me here. I've had my carry permit since they first became available here in Tennessee in 1994. Up until recently the closest I ever came to concealed carry was to maybe have a loaded gun in my vehicle console. Recent events have really changed my perspective on that. I have four kids and three grandkids. The fact that anyone could be either crazy enough or mean enough to shoot those precious kids is beyond my comprehension, and those things seem to be happening more often.The Police can't beverywhere to protect everybody. I almost now feel it is my duty to carry my weapon, and I have been for the last two weeks.
I've practiced with my handguns more in the last three weeks, then in the last fifteen years combined. I joined the NRA for the first time. I've read more articles, watched more videos, studied more laws, and I am just trying to learn everything I can and hope I never need any of it.
