It seems the ban is already in effect

I went to the gun show in Dickson today. ARs for $2K, Stripped AR lowers for $500, AR mags for $100, .223 and 7.62 ammo for $1 a round, SKS for $700. I will note these were asking prices and stuff wasn't flying off the shelves. I don't see how some of these dealers sit behind the table with a straight face. You'd think the ban was already in place and they were selling pre-ban stuff.

 

I was going to stock up on some stuff but y'all can have it if you're willing to pay these prices. I'm going to wait this craziness out and either do without if the ban does happen or get some deals when the bubble bust. I'm really pretty well set anyway.

 

Also, I can understand the panic buying on guns and mags but don't really on ammo. Certain guns and mags seem to be about double or so over normal but ammo seems to be up 300-400%.

Just another example of how our government is constantly interfering in the marketplace.  I do feel bad for folks who just happen to be shopping for their first battle rifle ... hopefully Feinstein will lose her battle to disarm us & the prices will come back down.  However, hope is not a strategy.

I wasn't "stocking up" because of the looming ban. I keep quite a bit of ammo on hand and I'd sold several guns. I had some cash and I was looking to at least replentish my ammo.

 

I may be looking at liquidating some of my stuff if prices keep going up. I've got way more mags than I'd ever need and if somebody offers me $100 a piece (I saw some priced that high) it will be hard to pass up.
