New FO sight for my Mark II

My new fiber optic front sight for my Ruger Mark II came in yesterday!! I installed it with blue LocTite this morning and can't wait to take it to the range. It's exactly the same height as the original, doesn't have that odd hook the original had, and picks up light well, despite what the last couple of photos seem to indicate.

My favorite thing about it is how narrow it is. I like to see lots of light between the insides of the rear sight and the outside edges of my front sight and this thing definitely delivers that!



Although the light isn't perfect to see it here, I can tell this will be a superior sight for zombie killing...

The brand is Tactical Solutions. You can get one pretty cheap on MicwayUSA (Ruger II front sights). The one I got is the .445" one, since it matched the height of the original.

I must have just gotten in under the wire, because they are backordered (just 2 weeks, though) right now and the price just went up by $3 from $16.49 to $19.49. Still, it's worth the price and the wait to get rid of the original.

OK thanks for the info. I already had that sight on my Midway wish list. Good to see it's a thin front blade.
