Ruger announced a bunch of neat, new firearms, this month. Two threaded barrel .22LR: Sr22 and 10/22TD. Compact SR1911! Some interesting grips on their target MK series.

Is the safety up to fire or down to fire on these?

You know, it became apparent to me this evening that I have a disease.

When your friendly LGS owner calls you on your private cell to tell you, "Hey, Mikey! It's Daniel at G&L. Just wanted you to know we got an SR45 in. First one in the building. Thought you might just want to see it," it becomes obvious that you might be spending too much time in there.

Well, I just happened to be in Hendersonville. Took me about two minutes to get there. (I ignored the flashing blues.) Guys...

It is sweet. I mean, really sweet. So slim for a .45... 10+1... if I had the money, I'd be showing you pics of it now.

If you like the SR series... you will LOVE this. Believe me.

Hey Steel, for those of us not having such tight contacts with the evil gun sellers, what kinda pricing was on the SR45?

I was there this afternoon and didn't see one. Perhaps it, like Elvis, has left the building?

BTW, that other little matter we conversed about is in my hands now. Dang!! It sure is nice.

We need to get together before my wife's surgery and I'll let you humiliate me with a shooting session.

Tag said $429. VERY reasonable.

I doubt seriously I would humiliate you, Larry. More like the other way around. MAYBE Saturday... let me see how the week pans out...

G&L got another one in yesterday. I picked it up today but didn't shoot it because of weather concerns. When I got home I decided to Field strip and clean, that is when I noticed that ruger doesn't have a manual for it. They included the sr9 and 40 manual. The SR45 has a different recoil spring setup then the others in the SR series. Besides that the gun is the same as far as field stripping. Can't wait to shoot a couple of rounds (50 to start) through it to see how it feels and acts. Before you ask $429.00
