Exactly.

If the folks on "the left" were actually concerned about innocent children being massacred they would be demanding abortion be banned.

But instead they vehemately defend the practice of mothers murdering their own children, while that child is still in the womb, which have averaged around a million give or take, every single year in this country since Roe v Wade (for a total of what? 32 million or so?) while at the very same time espousing complete & utter horror over a measly 20 kids killed by an evil assault gun.

I am not attempting to minimize the Sandyhook tragidy, only pointing out the mind boggling hypocracy from that side of the political aisle.

I'm hearing more and more about the assault rifle that killed the children. It was first announced by the police that a Glock and a Sig were used in the school and a Bushmaster AR15 was outside with the brother and not used. When did this change or did the media change it?

Someone was calling bull on this earlier, and no matter what data you gave them they would not believe. Apparently only 300 people had been killed with these items in the last five years.

The initial reports were wrong.

It turned out that there was a shotgun in the trunk of the car.

The brother was never outside. Never heard that one.

The coroner(s) reported that all of the children were shot/killed with the rifle.

He shot himself with one of the handguns.

Or that 16,000 children die every day world wide from hunger and hunger-related cause. That's one every 5 seconds....roughly the time it took to read this post.

There was a guy picked up in some trees nearby, somebody reported it was the younger brother when they still thought the older brother was the one who did it. Then somebody reported it was the older brother once they determined the true identity of the shooter. A friggin media circus.

They detained the guy (in handcuffs I believe) for a while, turned out he was a guy coming to school to bake stuff,  had heard the shooting before he went in and backed off is I believe the upshot of he real story.

A agree with this. Not too many people killed with hammers and clubs.

There are lots of things that kill more people than guns though. Vehicles come to mind. By the liberal logic, we should ban cars or at least ones capable of going over a certain speed (assault cars).

Or that 3,300 babies are killed every day from abortion just here in the U.S. alone.  EVERY SINGLE DAY.

If you look at the FBI's statistics, more people are killed with BARE HANDS, or other body part... than rifles.

http://www.fbi.gov/about-us/cjis/ucr/crime-in-the-u.s/2011/crime-in-the-u.s.-2011/tables/expanded-homicide-data-table-8

And the stats also show a steady trend of less and less homicides across the board.

And I wonder what % are criminal on criminal.

We should be banning hammers and clubs, not to mention the personal sale of hammers and clubs between individuals.

You should only be allowed one hammer in your lifetime, unless you bring it to the store and prove it's broken for a replacement.

You cannot have more than one replacement handle or head in your possession, nor can you have one of each, as this would be "constructive possession", because federal law would define owning a complete hammer or club "in disassembled form" to be owning the complete hammer or club.
