LCP, KT trigger

My fingers are long, and the problem I have with these triggers is that my right hand thumb provides an early trigger stop; my trigger finger hits it, and stops the pull before the hammer falls. (Yes, using the pad of my finger, not the joint. At the joint it's ridiculous.) Anyway, is there any such thing as a trigger modification that would allow the hammer to fall at the halfway point of the typical trigger pull? I mean, the stop being at half of where it is as it comes from the factory. It would be ideal. Am I making my point clearly?

I'd be hesitant to modify the sear geometry on a gun like that, with no firing pin safety or anything...

I simply learned to use a high thumb hold, which is where my thumb naturally goes when shooting other guns, anyways.
