Went to a gun auction yesteday. If I hadn't seen it with my own eyes I never would have believed it. Sks's going for $650, AR 15 type weapons going $ 1500-2000. a M&P ar with a light and a Cheap sight went for $2500 plus a 10% buyers premium, plus 9.25% tax, plus $10 state fee, plus $10 paper work fee put the gun at over $3000.00. A box of 500rds of 5.56 went for $400. This was just an inkling of what went on. It's hard to comperhend what people are willing to pay.

I can believe it. I went to a gun auction last summer, and it was crazy then. Post CT, a public gun auction, and wow! PT Barnum is clawing to get out of the grave to get a piece of this action!

Was this in Cleveland? I saw the advertisment in the paper and would have liked to have went. But the last time I went to one the prices went well North of a reasonable rate. Much like what you desribed.

At the one in Knoxville, I saw a cheap Saiga12 conversion attempt on sale for $1675. Probably had 650 in it.

Looked like a cheap Tapco stock, don't know about the trigger kit, but my son and I have done much better on

our/his conversions. I guess I just help out.

The rest of the prices were just, kinda hilarious.

Yes it was the Posey auction, I try to go every year just to watch some of the prices. And every now and then you can pick up a deal
