Men get put in the dog house all the time, well for the last week ive secretly had my wife in the dog house, ive done turned her down 4 times now.:)   But women seem to not like it so much, if a man is in the dog house we deal with and move on until they forgive us.   but my wife gets really mad and she keeps mentioning divorce  and stuff.

i asked her why do women think its funny when they do it to us ,but women go to the extreme when their man turns them down?

have you guys ever put your old ladies in the dog house?   im gonna see how far i can take this before she explodes.lol

I dunno..

In our house we prefer to talk about things and work them out and not withhold anything.. seems childish to me..

I never witheld anything from my husband, I grew out of playing games when I was 18..

Run your relationship how you like...if it works for you guys...great...but I can tell you right now that wouldn't work in mine...besides...my wife and I have already had the conversation that if either of us uses the word "divorce" other than signing the papers....then we will be signing the papers...

That word has too much of a negative connotation and in this case...appears to used as leverage from one party to the next...neither my wife or I do well with threats and ultimatums.

Good luck.

If your saying you have "turned her down" in the way i think you mean. Your probably the only male in history that has done that once much less 4 times. No good can come of this as Mac said your playing with fire....  You will pay in the end. you will soon hear "am i not pretty enough for you anymore" its all downhill from there.

Jesse, you pulling our leg, or a DUMBA$$, you will not win.

You might think you are, but in the long run, think about it.

I did once for several weeks after we had been married a few years.  I don't even remember why now.  I do remember how much it broke my heart to see her cry and be so upset about some stupid ass power play I thought was funny at the time.  I decided to remove my head from my rectum and compromise.  Marriage is hard enough without being stupid.  This year will make 34 years for us.  I was 21 and she was 18 when we were married.

i refused my wife once, the day after she broke my ankle. She also never freezes me out, proven by the fact she has been pregnant 4 times in 3 years.

Why would I put my wife in the doghouse. That is where the reloading bench, table saw, table sander, drill press, air compressor, lathe, and pretty much every tool known to man, I like being in the dog house keeps me happy and wife occasionally gets new furniture, bookcase, gun cabinet, ect.

I'd have to comatose to deny my wife sex, and even then I'm pretty sure I could still pull it off. Chicks remember everything. If I used this as a control tool, even once, I'd be hearing about it until I was on my deathbed. Edited by TMF

Women NEVER forget.  Go ahead and play your games, it will come back to haunt you years from now when you least expect it.

It sounds like you are headed for a divorce to me --- no matter what you do.   Even if you stop this childish "punishment" of your wife, the underlying problems that make you *want* to do this to her are the sorts that can only be overcome with love, communication, and a partnership.  If you let things go back to "normal" you will still have these same relationship problems, even if they are less out in the open.   So you either need to sit down & talk things out and figure out what the problems are and how you can work with each other, or you need to get a lawyer.

This has nothign to do with sex.  A LOT of marriages in the USA are "sexless" (less than once a month is the definition here) and function very well, and a lot of hot ones fail later on when the couple figures out all they had in common was hot blood.
