"Was thinking the same thing... sips more DDG"

Hatred is back.

Ahh, nice. I love that place, wife and I go there on occasion (though I've avoided it for the last six months as I've been dieting).

We can make that happen, the DDG is only like $23 there - haha!

Yep, went there for lunch today. Saw it on the menu and pointed it out to the wife. (That's what tipped her off.)

Shoot me a pm when you guys would like to go, we'll meet ya'll there.

the latest batch of DDG we got in a couple of weeks ago is no longer in the Pepto Bismo colored bottle. It looks a little more traditional

LOVE me some Maredsous!

Man, I miss drinking good beer, but having lost >60 lbs so far with diet and exercise, I'm not ready to reintroduce myself to 'the wild' just yet. Gotta lose a touch more...

Don't sweat it. I lost 50lbs last year. I'm 20lbs away from gaining it all back...:)

Yah, that's precisely why I wish to avoid it for now.

Back to my bourbon...

it is 1:45 EDST, Africa hot outside, the mini fridge is stuffed with nice cold Stoners.

I have begun my quest to empty it all.

ibc bottled rootbeer or bottled coke (glass bottles).

That or some hot tea.... yum

It didn't take me long to learn that alcohol is not for me. I am responsible for what I do and being drunk is never an excuse for anything. I don't like the feeling of having less control of my body and actions. That and at least for me alcohol only tastes good if you have enough of it. I'll stay sober and happy thank you.

friesepferd, I think you are in the wrong thread

and I had more Stoners yesterday, the warden bought me an 18 pack. All I asked for was a twelver. She is alright sometimes.

There comes a point in life where some drink alcoholic beverages not to get crap faced drunk, but for the experience. The effects of the alcohol is can be a side benefit. Pleasure is received from the first taste on your lips, to it going down your throat and its wakening up of your taste buds. Most of the posters on this thread fall into that group. An acquired taste, and once you get to that point, what a taste it can be.

At this point in my life, I have no desire to go out and slam a 6-pack or 12-pack of budweiser and get fall down drunk, but to be able to go somewhere, or at home and have a nice Amber beer or Dark lager beer, scotch, bourbon etc...delicious!

absolutely. Though I do like the side effect sometimes. Have not been crap faced drunk in a long time. But while working outside in the yard or in the woods beer motivates me.

If you could offend anyone on here with that statement, we'd have some deeper issues in our community to address. If you say it doesn't work for you because you're an angry drunk, I commend you for owning it.

No offense taken by me, I was just talking about the idea of the thread is not a "I got drunk and...." thread.

Only time that I get offended is when someone uses the word good and Milwaukee's Best or Natural Light!!:2cents:
