What gun control proponents are thinking

Found this link by accident but it gives you an idea of what they're thinking. It's an opinion piece from the times so take it for what it's worth but this cements the fact we need to contact our reps and push back harder than they ever can.

Quotes from the article
"If our first priority is to protect our children, we need to examine whether gun control alone can work. It must be combined with bullet control."

And

"After the Newtown tragedy, surely an effort will be made in Congress to resurrect a ban on assault rifles. When that bill is introduced, any American who does not contact his or her Congressional representative to voice support will in effect be voting to let that bill die.

As the president has said, we have to change. At the very least, we must ensure that the most destructive weapons are removed from public access."

They don't care about the children. They hide behind them. This is all about complete control, not gun control.

Gun control is only a part of the equation. It's a big part because you can't control a people until you disarm them.

People who believe in the use of communism as a government model tend to do this first. In America, everything is

getting hit incrementally.

There's a reason the 2nd Amendment was put into the Bill of Rights. That's it.
Isn't this what the NFA and 1968 Bills were supposed to do?
They don't bother themselves with facts! Since gun law 1-20,000 didn't work we really need 20,001, it's gotta work this time, right?
