Ar mag Rebuilds

Recommended Posts

I have some Pre Ban Israeli contract mags from the AWB '94 that I bought for  Y2K!!!! . Last time I used them to shoot I had some decide to instantly unload themselves. So the thought of rebuilding them like they do the high cap mags for USPSA/IPSC came to mind. I am going to procure about 10 of these Mag110%20Follower-2T.jpg?1334734642

And get me 10 of these MAG212%20Black-2T.jpg?1334734642   I just need a good way to check and adjust the feed lips of the mag body/tubes if they are outta whack.

Has anyone done this with good results or was it more a if the body's wont hold the GI floor plates good that these will not work either.

I have a feed lip gauge. I take any USGI magazines get, disassemble, strip the body and paint within etching primer before painting the color I want. Look the spring over good and stretch it back out a bit. Add the afore mentioned Magpul follower and a ranger floor plate and they are ready.

I have done more than enough like that to do me for life. I still have a Kroger sack left to do.

Did you pull a random photo for the ranger floor plates? I ask because the ones pictured are for Pmags.
