Chattanooga Area Reloader

Just ordered my first press. I decided on the Lee Classic Press. That way I can single stage and use the turret when I get more comfortable. Going to start off with 10mm initially. I would like to move to rifle eventually. I've been reading about reloading, so I am not totally clueless. Anyone local want to give me some hands on experience? Going to build a bench for it, so I'll take any advice on that too.

Thank you

Adam

Ive got the same press as you and i set it up as a single stage but i load all my dies into it for that caliber. That way i can change whatever stage by hand. I am by no means an expert and i have not started to load for Accuracy. (only load 9mm for right now). I would suggest to get a max cartridge gauge for whatever caliber you load it has saved me A LOT of headaches. After you get your bench built i would be glad to come share my limited knowledge :D

Good choice on the press and method.

I can help if you need it.  Im all thumbs on making nice stuff but if you want a $10 table I can certainly show you how to nail 4 4x4 legs onto a sheet of plywood :P  Actually I stacked the plywood 2 deep to make it extra rugged.   I am not a guru but I feel I have a pretty good handle on making safe loads and managing things on the cheap.

Sometime this summer they are doing a basic reloading class at the Chattanooga rifle club. I think it is in June or July. It's a ways off but it's always good info. I have been loading for a about 6 months but If there's anything I can do to help i will try.

I am up Hixson Pike in Lakesite and could help you set up but I am a short-timer here and hope to be moving soon. If you are close i can come help explain a few things. Reloading is a lot about feel.

The Rifle Club's is July 29th for reloading and the 31st for casting. I don't think I want to wait that long, but I think I would like to attend to learn anything extra.

I would like to attend something like that. But on this end of the state.

I am near North Chattanooga/Hixson and can help.  Can even bring you to the club to shoot them if you would like to go from start to finish.

Have been reloading for decades and can show you the ins and outs of all of it.

PM me if interested.  I work a lot for the next week or so (am an accountant) but I am sure that we could meet up for a couple of hours and load up a couple of boxes.

There weren't many people at the CRC sessions in '12

I joined the CRC. I pm'd you about it around 6 months ago. Lol. I don't really expect you to remember. A few of you may have a visitor soon. Don't worry. I don't eat that much.

"Doesn't sportsmans warehouse have a reloading class every once in a while?"

Yea,  I think it's once a month or maybe once every 6 weeks?  They usually have a sign at the front with a schedule of their classes.
