Apparently it specifically targets all magazines / weapons made after 1994 and they've thrown in a lot of illegal to possess jargon. Hopefully this hasn't been posted before, but I think the fact that those in DC are trying to pass this doesn't bode well for the future.

There is no advantage to either political party to pass this bill. I doubt it will ever make it out of any comittee to a floor vote. Politicians have nothing to gain and a lot to lose if such a bill became law again. Bill Clinton cited the 1994 law as a big reason why the democrats lost control of Congress for a period of time.

This bill will shortly join HR1022 and any number of other DOA bills passed to salve constituent feelings.

Gun control is a loser of an issue. It will never pass. Heck, it will never make it to the floor.

Pretty soon, all firearms will be illegal and the only citizens that are law abiding will be the politicians..and they'll have body guards..

I'm willing to bet that then, there will be an open season on politicians..no limit and no tags required. as a nuisance predator you could shoot them and be doing your community a favor.

In reality, I see no reason why this guy would do this except to curry favor with Obama.. yah like THAT's a smart move!

I believe in compromise meadowmb, but that's not compromise. the fact is, we've compromised with anti gunners as far as we can. there's not much more we can do without giving away the 2nd amendment, lock stock and barrel....so no more compromises. I'll wait for the pogroms when they pass a bill such as that...heck, I have some rope myself

I agree, but I think that will change..albeit slowly. the predations of elitist politicians like Bloomberg, Pelosi and Kennedy are going to come home to roost.
