The House Pubs do not have some overwhelming majority.  It would take maybe 17 or 18 of them to vote for a ban for it to pass?

I'd not assume the Dems will be in lock step in either chamber. Depending on their various constituencies, it could cost some of them, just like in '94.

Unlike some issues, firearm owners are actually no more than about a 60/40 split in political affiliation from polls I've seen mentioned.

You can be sure that private polling companies will make some good bucks supplying plenty of detailed data on all the issues before the pols can then you know, vote their conscience. :)

If some gun bill sails through both chambers,  it will be because it's a shadow of what was first proposed, and a predicted soft landing for the ayes in the next two election years.
Magpul basically took the milspec mags and improved on the design.  They are much more durable than the GI spec mags due to their polymer body, so they don't dent or bend as easily.  They have a textured surface that makes them easier to handle.  They have a nice dust cover that protects the feed lips and keep your ammo clean.  One model has a clear window so you can see how many rounds are in it.  They are produced in different colors for those who want them. All of this for the same price as a milspec mag. They are all I use now.
While I have absolutely nothing bad to say about P-Mags I prefer G.I. mags that come with the tan follower. The spring in them is larger and it's not quite as easy to dent/ding/bend them as its made out to be. G.I. mags fit better in most mag pouches although Magpul has addressed this with their E mags.

I was in Gander Mtn. "of all places" a couple of days ago. My nieghbor and I were out do some searching, they still had some P-mags at the same price $19.99 that they always sell them for.

How do troy battlemags compare to pmags? Any one have or tried both?

I have some Troy b'mags, and they are fine magazines, well made and reliable, but I do not think they are worth what the typical asking price is. In the good old days of BCT (before Connecticut), I could get pmags for $5 to $7 cheaper than the Troys.

I like the troys better myself but cant find them anywhere now Pmags are great but troy battle mags are thinner and easier to pack on a rig I havent seen the new gen 3 pmags so I cant comment on them I heard the would be thinner  Not really the mags themselves but the bottom plate on the current pmag is not as good as the Battlemag IMO
