There are no problems; I was patching it earlier and DaveTN happened to notice it and then offered to pitch in and help.   :D

I think the problem is they've banned all forums greater than 10 posts ... taking some time for the ATF to process the paperwork to approve and register anything with more posts

I had the same problem, but it seems to be working fine now.  I think Alex Jones said something about a government conspiracy to crash all pro-gun web forums.  :tinfoil: :panic:

I figured that mag ban thread had gotten the Fibbies scouring the board looking for my other posts, LOL. :tinfoil:

Yeah I was getting the board offline message, and it seems to have slowed down. I figured increased traffic and maintenance were the reason.

Having lots of trouble getting to the site tonight. The NSA or ATF must be scanning or running their software.

Yeah... apparently our nightly backup job crashed last night and took the database offline.   I'm looking into why that happened.

I've been known to use the BFH on more than one occasion.  :)

 

I think this particular issue is related to a security patch that IPB released back on Dec 27th.  I've raised the issue with them and will be following up as soon as they address it.

Thank goodness it's something simple.

 

I was checking my tinfoil stocks for a fresh hat and wondering where the shovel was so I could dig down to the bunker door. . . .

Guess you know that it didn't happen all at once.

 

Got a variety of SQL and database error screens for maybe couple hours, site would come back off and on (there was also a TGO "working on site" screen at some point or other)  then eventually a final crash.

 

Didn't get on here till noon today, but it's been mostly crawling, up to 30 sec. delays, and it was doing that last night before the periodic error screens.

 

If any of that helps....

I had the same experience as Oh Shoot so it wasn't on his end. I was going through TGO withdrawals last night, how's a guy supposed to sleep without checking out with his buddies?
