Yes, we could add the Kentucky Bourbon to our Tennessee Whiskey.  Then we would win!

Muahahahahaaa!

Win what?  Heck, I don't know.  Don't trifle me with details.

To get the whiskey. Duh

When Grant marched through Kentucky during the War of Northern Agression his troops went way out of their way to take the distilleries.

Why would Tennesseans want to march on Frankfort, KY?  ;)

Bring me back some Jim Beam Devil's Cut.  I will stay with our fort here in TN.

Seriously, It only takes one hot head to mess that up.

Nothing good can come of a bunch of people "marching on" the state capitol with rifles on their shoulders.  If you guys are looking to persuade the fence sitters to support the Second Amendment, you're totally fucking it up.

I agree. All it takes is one undercover left-wing shill in the group to purposely discharge a firearm and then the STHF.

The problem is that people always want to take it to far, this would be a perfectly good idea if they said lets carry signs instead of rifles over our shoulders.  As it stands all it will do is instill fear in the masses.  It will appear as if the firearms community is trying to use intimidation to get their way.

Yep. As tempting as it can be, TGO David nailed it (as usual).

correct me if I'm wrong but wasn't it Andrew Jackson who said " I never met a Kentuckian who didn't have a bottle of whiskey, deck of cards and a pistol on his person"

If you think public demonstrations will help then do so.  But leave weapons out of it.  All that will do is give the media something to focus on other than the issue and facts.   As others have said, all it will take is one shot and gun owners will be branded as hate-mongering radicals out to get everyone else.   The antis would love to infiltrate a march and instigate something.

I participated in the 2009 March on DC with a quite a few hundred thousand of my close friends...it was an experience unlike any I have had before but it didn't do jack s**t to stop the passage of Obamacare.

In 2010 I participated in Restoring Courage on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial - a very non-political event (despite how the media wanted to paint it) of at least a million people and while it did effect me, and while I think it was more worthwhile than the March on DC; I'm still cautiously pessimistic about what marches/large gatherings actually accomplish.

I don't think marches are the answer...the problem is, I don't have a better answer either because I call and I write my elected officials and all I see is the country and the state continuing to move toward socialism and more spending and more debt.

If you want to make a statement, take an 8x10 glossy of your favorite firearm and attach it to your shirt or something.  Or wear your NRA hat.  Or whatever.  They can't arrest you for a pic, can they?

I guess I need to hang around here & keeping reading these posts ... maybe everyone's optimism will wear off on me.

We're talking about convincing/persuading the same rabble that gave Comrade-in Chief Obama over 50%, right?

Whatever happened with goof ball saying he was going to jog into the KY capitol wearing body armor and carrying an AR? I kinda wanted to see that video.
