Wal Mart comes through.

The family and me where out on the town yesterday perusing some stores. Somehow I convinced my wife to fit a couple LGS's in the mix. Since I didn't "Need" anything in particular it was more of a recon mission to see what's out there.

We took the long way home and passed by a Wal Mart in Oak Grove KY. Wife says "You want to go in?". Why not. To my surprise they had 4 of the 250 round bulk Remington 9mm on the shelf. Every other gun shop, Wal mart, or sporting goods store around the Ft Campbell/Clarksville area is essentially picked clean so this Wal Mart having ammo was a huge surprise (Closest one to post).

I bought 2 boxes and left 2 for the next guy. Only problem is I ended up being the next guy. Was on that side of town again this morning and figured I'd see if the other 2 boxes were still there, and they were. I bought them but not for me. They are going to another TGO'er from Clarksville for what I paid.

I try and keep my eye out for anything a friend might be looking for and grab it if the price is right. I did however have an epic fail with that later today though. Been looking for P239 9mm mags for a friend and found 2 at a great price. Get to his house to show him what I got him and wouldn't you know, they were for a .40. Maybe next time lol.

Oh man those were .40s?! Lol, sometimes it pays to be suspicious when things are too easy. Hopefully the guys at APD will let you bring them back.

I haven't been able to find 22LR for anything. WallyWorld in 100 Oaks got in a shipment and I cleaned them out. My appologies to the next guy.

Had family check their WW in 3 different states, and they told me that the ammo case still has a decent supply, so I had them pick some up. I am wondering why it is so much worse here.

Spots is right. Rockwood has been bare for days. I work at Gander Mtn and managed to snag 1,000 .22LR since no one seemed to want it.

I have been looking for 7.62x51 (.308) my local Walmarts are out.

Infact one has replace the existing rifle ammo shelf space (removed tags) with shotgun amo.

Walmart in south jackson that I go in almost everyday it seems like for something has been empty for a week. Only having a couple of boxes of .44 mag and 30-06, and I only mean a couple of each.
