The minute it looks like some sort of organization is starting to take place, search warrants will be issued and the Feds will be busting down doors.  And don't think for a minute that the NSA doesn't have some sort of a clue as to who is doing what.  This is 2012 (soon to be 2013), not 1860.  There are no secrets among groups in this country.  The Government will try it's best to crush whatever opposition seems to be forming, before it can form.

 

Besides, let;s say for (s)hits and grins, something like this happens, who's going to be running the country?  Is this disorganized mob just going to turn it over to who ever?  Are they going to hand it over to the Tea Party or the Republicans?  They going to bust up the Union and let the individual states become sovereign nations?  Are they going to crown someone Big Kahuna?  Is there going to be a Constitution?  Whoever gets left in charge, I can just about guarantee you, will round up all the ringleaders have them tossed in jail at the best and executed at the worst.  Why??? Because the revolution will be too dangerous to be left alone, to do it all over again, if some other people get mad about something else.

 

The minute a rebellion starts, the Republic will end and will be replaced by some sort of tyranny, regardless of who wins... actually in the end, no one will win.  We will all lose. We might really see the Blue Helmets come here and try to take control or at the very least support the current administration.  No way the world will allow all our Nuclear Weapons to remain in a country that has fallen into anarchy.

 

You all need to step back and think about what you are talking about and what you think you want out of such an event.  The odds against success are extremely high and even with success, your goals are not likely to be achieved.  I'm not happy about what's going on either, but I'm not at "That Point" yet either.

MOPED...Who's gonna do all the door kicking? The Govt and you are VASTLY overestimating the number of troops that will kick in doors and start executing Americans. I'm an Oath Keeper and i'm here to tell you the Majority of LEO's and Military are AGAINST this type of usurpation of the Constitution and will not comply..And even if they did, there are only 750K LEOS total in the country...You think that's enough? You need to rethink things a bit.

 

No one here is saying we WANT things to go down like this but it sure looks like the Government is hell bent on it. THEY are instigating THEY are agressing. Stop for a moment. Remember it's WE THE PEOPLE who are supposed to be in charge. Do you see the problem. Any way you slice it something is going to happen....They have forced it through their criminality and any government minion who goes along with it is a complicit criminal enemy of the Republic.

 

As for you vacuum of power. I say to you that there are moral men of character who would seek to restore the Constitution and Republic. You will not see despotism in this country .

 

It's alright to be afraid. Fear is a powerful force and can be made and ally. At what point do you say enough's enough? If you want to live under tyranny that's your choice. I stand with Jefferson in my beliefs.  As I said ( and to the NSA, FBI, CIA and other criminals listening out of the bounds of the Constitution) I don't want this to happen, I will not be any kind of aggressor but if you push men of principal against a wall in a corner with spikes sticking out, you'll end up reaping what you sew. My contention is that we will soon reach that point, relatively speaking. I know where I stand morally. Anyone who stands on the other side..Well..

 Brother...I do not think it would be easy and I shudder at the thought as much as you do...But if they left moral principled men no choice I don't see any other scenerio playing out. History supports my assertion. I'm just facing the truth of it. Most people can't face it and will choose to be in denial. I'm scared as much as the next guy like I said but I'm realistic as far as I see it.

I agree they would crush an organized open rebellion, and only a fool would join one.  But, the government isn't setup to handle small self organizing cells, and lone wolves.

 

And frankly, even if there was a crack down on an organized group, that in itself might be enough of a call to action...  Remember that actions at Ruby Ridge and Waco nearly tossed this country over the edge...  and a lot has happened since then.

 

What comes out of the other side once there is an insurgency, I don't think anybody knows the answer to that, it's what they call a singularity  and event horizon you can't see beyond...  but odds are the result won't be any better than what we have now, and may very well be worse...  that doesn't stop men from trying to overthrow tyranny. Arab spring?

 

And it may very well not be the gun issue that causes it to happen, even if we manage to avoid a hot rebellion over gun control, what are the chances this country survives the coming sovereign debt crisis on the near horizon?

Guys, you all really need to be careful about what you post on the Internet.   I don't mind you posting links and articles and expressing your concerns, but TGO is not an anti-government website and I'd appreciate it if you would keep the secessionist / anarchist stuff off of our forum.  If the time comes for the citizens to take up arms against our government, God help us.  But until then, we'll work within the law and through the ballot box.

 

Further, there's no need to belittle or "call out" your fellow members with talk of them being boot-lickers and the like.  There are a lot of people on TGO who have served this country in the armed forces, some of whom who have been injured in the line of duty and who have watched friends, brothers in arms, die for the same.  The person you call to question here may have the same strong feelings you do but isn't willing to put his name on any sort of watch list just to beat his chest for all to see on a forum.

 

Just something to keep in mind.
