What good is that going to do for the python problem? Finding the largest one for a prize? Or is there anything that can be done? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

There must not be a hog problem in TN or the TWRA wouldn't have closed it. They always think ahead on things before acting on them.

TWRA has a point though, people were increasing the problem hog population (in at least some areas) for hunting pleasure, the opposite goal.  Would be like some enterprising person down in FL starting a snake farm, growing them big, and letting them loose.

It's a two edged sword that's probably going to come back and bite them based on their breeding and other states problems.

For eating pleasure, I think a feral pig is much tastier than venison IMO. On the other hand, they're probably more of a problem than they're worth decimating quail, turkey and other game populations. Not to mention the damage they do to to farmers crops and polluting the water.

I am not a hunter, but this statement struck my curiosity: how does a ferel pig effect birds?

Both have clutches of eggs on teh  ground.. Feral hogs LOVE eggs...

Turkeys only lay one clutch a year.. with about 30 or so eggs....

There were so many options or TWRA to stop the hog hunting lodges without stopping 80% of hog hunting in tn. They jumped to a quick action without co soldering the reprecutions. The hog problem is never going away, call Texas and ask them.

As for the two idiots in Florida. The Everglades is a dangerous place. They are lucky, could have easily died out there.
