SOLVED.....I gotted a .40... :D  I must say the .40 recoil isn't nearly as bad as it is made out to be. This little jewel shoots sweet.

I threw an APEX trigger kit in one - it made a huge difference in the trigger. Nice gun, BTW!

Thanks. I'll have to look into that. While the .40 recoil wasn't as bad as I had heard...The crappy trigger was true. I like the way it breaks but it's like plowing gravel to get to it.

I think the "snappy" factor of the .40 gets accentuated the shorter the barrel gets. I can't tell a huge amount of difference between a full size XD in .40 vs. a Glock G17, but there's a lot of difference between an XDsc in .40 and a Glock G26.

One nice aspect of going .40 is when there is an ammo run (such as is now showing its ugly head) .40 dissappears more slowly than 9mm.

M&P triggers are hit or miss. I have a new Shield in .40 and it has some of the mildest recoil I have ever felt. Less than a LCP and less than j frame .38

My (no longer with me) M&P 40c would pinch my fat paws between the mag and grip. It was accurate as all get out and recoil was fine, the pinching not so much, guess I'm just a big baby. Edited by FIST
