Howard Kurtz Scolds D.C. Police for Investigating NBC's David Gregory

Recommended Posts

Do you have knowledge that I have ever been "let go" on a weapons violation?
I didn’t mean to imply you have. I have let people go on weapons charges, and other charges as well. It was my discretion if I felt an arrest was warranted or if I didn’t feel there was criminal intent.
Because he's on TV he shouldn't be charged?
It’s the investigating Officers decision, He shouldn’t be charged because we don’t agree with what he has to say. If the DC Police have a hard line, no discretion policy on hi-cap magazines and arrest every person they come in contact with that has one, then yes he should be arrested and the DA can decide whether or not what he was told was a factor.

As Mike said above, the law is ridiculous no matter who breaks it.
