in last few weeks, i had chance to see 4 people OC their guns.

so here are some "don'ts"

1. if you younger and carry cheap plastic gun, in cheap plastic holster--please hide it. it is eye sour,

2. if you in your 40+ and carry cheap plastic gun, in leather holster

and your cell phone is in the cheap cell holster close to your gun --please it doesn't make you looking any younger

3.if you 50+ and carry you S&W revolver in front of your beer belly, veil you looking at peoples faces, looking and pointing at you.

trust me, they don't say how you remind them on Dirty harry.

They laugh AT you.

4. if you 5foot and grain of dust tall--please don't carry full size glock .

it looks like you have crutch underneath your arm.

for open carry, get a nicest shiny 1911 , with super cool leather holster

you know Texas BBQ gun, and you welcome to show off:cool:

Wait, somehow, I think I'm offended at that remark. :)

Haven't we been down this road enough? For crap's sake, let other people do what they will and live with the consequences themselves, there's no need to adopt a holier-than-thou attitude and cast negative remarks and dispersions their way.

If you don't like it, then don't do it. Man this gets old.

It's not holier-than-thou when it's the truth.

Right. Case in point.

Guy, it was funny. Chill out.:)

No worries, I am chilled.

It wasn't so much for the OP, as it was some of the responses.

Whatever, we've hashed the whole OC vs CC debate enough. I just wish someone COULD post something about OC (and the OP is funny), without the repetitive and demeaning comments from some folks. But hey, I guess that's just me.

So, please, I try and treat folks who hate OC with respect, why cannot this be a two way street?

--EDITED TO ADD--

I don't want to thread-jack, and I don't mean to be overly confrontational. My apologies to the OP.

Its not a debate guy. Its just humor. If you didnt like the topic you didnt have to come in.

Maybe you could poke fun at concealed carry? :) We're all civil here and can take a joke or 12.

I posted that I thought it was funny, and apologized for the thread-jack... maybe I need to add some smilies.

:):D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D

Better?

What irked me (mildly) was the comments following, but hey, I'm in the minority as far as that is concerned, and I guess if it was up to you, you'd rather the folks who disagree just don't post. No more from me then on those issues I suppose.

Anyhow... more smilies, just to show what a nice guy I am, though, despite being called that twice already, it isn't my name. :D

Honest men (or women) who are engaged in lawful behavior have no reason to hide their weapons (ugly, cheap, or whatever)... unless you (falsely) believe that the majority (or even a few) people who open-carry are targetted by criminals more often than those who conceal (if at all).

Sure, it can be indiscrete... and yes some people's guns are 'prettier' than others.

So what?

Folks can make fun of what other people drive, too... or if they have off-brand golf clubs in a ratty bag, but that doesn't change whether it works for them just fine.

Oh I agree...it was pretty funny. If as long as by "plastic" you didn't mean a Glock...LOL ;)

But it's not like it would be the first time a joke thread was taken WAY off topic because of a post or two either...

Remember... http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/showthread.php?t=8013

Which lead to even a few decicated threads to the off-topic stuff
