Looking for some input on how and what others use to carry theirs.... It's allot-o-gun compared to the pocket pieces that I'm used to having on me.

Thanks

Depends on how you are planning to carry.  Crossbreed and Kholster both make excellent inside the waistband holsters.  They are tuckable, so you can wear them with a nice shirt, or drape a t-shirt over them.  If you are looking to carry OWB, I have used Bladetech for awhile, but recently got an Aholster.  The Bladetech works fine and offers a good grip angle, but it sticks out from your side a bit.  You can still cover it with a t-shirt.  The Aholster is very new to me and holds the pistol very close to the body.  It covers very nicely with a t-shirt.  It is also made in Jonesboro.

I carry an XD40-sc in a crossbreed holster with a good belt (Looper with Kydex reinforcement). I imagine the same would work for you. I use the extended mag on my gun and that grip should be about same size as yours, and I imagine the barrell of yours is a 3.8?

It came with a 9 round and 13 round mags. It looks like they all fit the same holsters as long as the barrel length is the same? I'm in this market for a 9mm and this will draw me more toward another xd/xdm if they fit the same holsters. This is good stuff guys. I appreciate your input. Thanks Jon

Would depend on the holster.  With the crossbreed I know the XD40-sc and XD9-sc are the same frame so use same holster, could be the same in your case as well.

I used to carry and XD45C in a MTAC. It was tucked underneath a white dress shirt with a tie and dress slacks. A Leatherman belt helped tremendously!

I'm not 100% sure, but generally guns in 9mm and .40 have the same frame while a .45 has a different frame.

The first thing you need to decide is IWB or OWB carry.  I currently use a crossbreed, but if I could do it again, I'd buy a convertible IWB/OWB holster.... like these... http://www.bestbelt.com/product/gunleather/1329.html

A good gun belt goes a long way with comfort, regardless of location.
