Boy what a difference a year makes. My main display is 180 gallons It was set up around May of last year & added the first fish & few corals to it in June. First is a pic of tank & stand empty. The glass alone weighs close to 600lbs. it was a pain to get in the house. The stand was natural wood & I stained it myself.

Next are a few pics from August of 2007

and the last pics are from today. They kinda suck but you can still tell a huge difference its just hard to take a really clear pic.

The Tank is 72x24x24 if your curious on the dimensions. Thanks for lookin.

Thats very nice. I used to have an aquarium but I could never seem to keep the water clear or the fish alive.

My aunt has a 300 gallon tank in her office(salt water) they are awsome.

Lot of work to keep them going, but they are worth it.

I loved those little buggers! They were like dogs in a tank

They were just a little larger than my hand.I loved how they would actually watch you as you watched them,and jump out of the water to grab food from my hand(just like a dog!)

I have 5 fish tanks. I have an oscar that's a full 12" long and 2.25" thick. I have to put bricks on the top, or he'll knock the tops off and get out. He's done it before, and almost died before I found him. He was in shock for about 3 weeks before he actually began to swim and eat again. I was afraid he had gotten some brain damage. He's doing fine now though.

I used glass lids on mine to prevent that.Allot heavier then the plastic that comes with the tanks.I think they were around 50 bucks apiece

Salt water, once you get it stablized, is easier than fresh. with salt you are not always fighting the green water problem.

That is really nice. We have just started out with a small tank for my little girl. She

That's how it all starts. I started with a 10 gal and I now have a 150 gal. , at one time I had 6 saltwater tanks at one time. I am now down to 2 and would be down to 1 if my wife would let me get rid one the 44 gal pentagon tank.

Very nice. I never got beyond a 30 gallon fresh water tank. I moved that tank from Raleigh to Tennessee, but we kept having power outages, so I gave the tank, with fish, to my brother in Greensboro. He eventually turned it into a terrarium.

Always wanted to do a big salt water tank.

I am currently running 5 tanks, but only one salt water (30 gallons).....I would love to get rid of some of mine.....especially the twoo 55s I have.

I enjoy them but they do become almost a second job.

But your setup is beautiful.

Looks great! I have considered placing a tank in the lobby of the office, but I'd have to pay someone else to care for it... otherwise I'd be buying fish every month to replace the dead.
