So she balked on the no grandfathering and replaced it with NFA controlled grandfathering. She probably had to concede that no grandfathering that she was proclaiming a few weeks ago, but making potentially millions of firearms NFA items...that's huge. 

 

A few around here are sleeping peacefully because they don't feel anything major would get through the house. I personally, wonder about stuff like this at night!

funding the ATF  where is it coming from ?

 

can almost picture the line of shooters holding their ARs in line out the Po=Po station down the block across the parking lot waiting for picture taking day

I am sure some of this is just "bargaining fodder" intended to be stripped away to protect the actual goal but to plant seeds for the next "incident" induced legislation..

If Canada can't run and fund a national firearm registery how does this spoon fed socialist control freak think it can be accomplished here? Besides that, there's a few million more here in the U.S. with the attitude that she can go register her stupid ugly face before we register anything. I have to admit, I don't like Feinstein very much. :)

I think she needs to focus her and her colleagues attention on this countries budgeting issues first before considering attacking our ability to own certain types of firearms.

If this actually get funding for this -- I'd cry!  That's our 1 dark horse we have -- They don't have the money to implement something like this

As has been said they have taken every idea they can get and bundled them into 1 package and are going to try to get as much as they can.  They know they won't get it all but they will try and try.

 

Someone tell me how they intend to get criminals to register?

 

Also enforcing a retro-active tax has to be unconstitutional.  I paid taxes when I brought them.

 

I expect several months of high gun sales while they argue this back and forth.

If nothing else, I think the whole NFA registration deal will kill the bill.

 

I also wonder if this bill will have any affect to transferable machine guns. The last ban didn't but this one seems to cover much more. If you can no longer sell transferable MGs, some people are going to be out some big bucks.

 

I'd like to see the list of the guns banned by name and just more details in general. A quick google search didn't turn up anything. I guess we will find out the details Jan. 3.
