Has anyone added a gas mask to their prep kits? If so, which one? I am considering my options and looking for recommendations.

If you have, have you tested your mask in any way? Edited by Chucktshoes

If you want to add that kind of item to your preps id take a serious look at the M40 series pro mask.  Since they are the military issue mask there a alot of them on the market for relatively cheap.  Added to that is the fact that canisters are readily available for them for a variety  of possible enviornments.  Remember no single canister will protect you from every threat.  If not the m40 i would find something that accepts the standard 40mm threaded NATO canisters  as this is the most common canister threading

Feed Mike357 a pound of goetta and just hang around for an hour. There is no better test.

I got 2 of the Czech masks for around $20 each. I haven't tested them other than trying them on.  I guess I am just hoping if I need one, it will work.
