Can they really do a forced buy back?

I was thinking the same thing. Like anyone would give up a $2,000 AR for $200-$500. Lol But then again, if they banned ownership and made possession illegal, the value would plummet over night. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I would say the opposite.  If ownership = illegal, the price will skyrocket overnight.

I am of the opinion that forced buybacks would pay the owner the owner's price.  I think I could let one of mine go for about 1 trillion or so.

They'd have to raise our taxes to pay for it.  Might not be in the news much, but the govt is whistling past the graveyard financially.

Gun confiscation won't fly at the Federal level. It might fly in California. The threat of it is going to be used to settle for something less.

Federal gun confiscation would not make it past the SCOTUS even if it was passed, just like with the 2nd; they won't force the hand of States Rights. Not much to stop it at the state level though.

I want to hear from those legislators that are suggesting this what they think they are going to do when citizens refuse to turn them in. Are they prepared to create a new group of criminals that have done nothing but exercise the rights the SCOTUS recently reinforced? Are they ready to put them in prison? Are the Police ready to arrest them? Are they ready to put the gun manufactures out of business?

No, the value would not skyrocket; it would plummet. The only way you could sell one would be to commit a felony. Machine gun prices skyrocketed because they could legally be transferred; I don't think they are talking about that being an option here.

There was some talk of moving ARs to a type of NFA status, actually.  I dunno if that will happen or was serious though.

They want it badly, but I don't think so.

Ms Frankenstein is living in a dream world, like all the rest of the gun grabbers. But don't ask her to give up her armed security.

This is rarely mentioned. Most of the idiots making these proposals almost always have personal security.

I hope the folks who do that job are paid exceptionally well for it. I'd imagine the danger level of thy gig increases exponentially with every word folks like her utter.

My first thought would be, "How are the going to pay for it?"

Yeah,  I know, they print all the money they want, but you get the idea.

Too bad I sold all of mine. Im sure I would have been sitting on a fortune. Heck, just my magazines would have been with thousands today. :x:

The better question is: Do they have testicular fortitude to try. Most of me hopes they don't but admittedly the little red me on my left shoulder hopes they do.

No way..they'd have to pry them from the cold dead hands of at least a million people. ME included. THAT is the line in the sand for some of us at least.

I don't think they realize what some of these guns are worth.

They don't care they wouldn't pay what they are worth they would pay ya $200 in food stamps.
