What is the cheapest revolver handgun for daily carry?

Armscor .38spl is  GREAT revolver and when you add in the cheap price it is hard to beat.  Functions flawlessly, accurate and pretty much stacks up well against the pricier revolvers.

My first pick would be to find a used Ruger LCR.  If you have the time to wait, go that route.  I've seen used ones go for as little as $300 and be in like new shape.  Second choice, hands down, would be the Armscor.

Another LCR recommendation. With the standard Hogue Tamer grips, the most comfortable small revolver I've shot. Not necessarily pretty, but well made, good trigger, and relatively light in the 38 spl +P version. Edited by 9x19

I had a charter arms .44 special with a two inch barrel that was reliable and accurate enough,it went bang every time.I also owned a rossi mdl 971 .357 that was a great gun for the money. If you are going to cheap out on a carry gun,my advise is to go with a wheel gun,it seems you will get a much more reliable gun for the money than to buy inexpensive semi-auto's.In my experience the kel-tec  and some taurus models are the exception to this. There isn't much to go wrong with a wheel gun, maybe get out of time.

Being that the original post in this thread was posted on December 25, 2012 I have to wonder if the OP found something suitable, yet.  If so, I'd be curious to know what he and his wife ended up getting.

For anyone looking for advice on the same thing in the future, I would say that I really liked the Rossi 461 that I carried for a while.  I traded it toward a S&W 642 but the biggest reason for the trade was I was looking for something that would better allow pocket carry as an option.  I don't doubt that I will own another Rossi revolver one of these days.
