I've got an XD40sc and love it. Stock trigger could be better but that's easily fixed. I put Pearce grip extentions and PRP x-treme grips (tape) and it made a big difference in feel. I carry mine in either a leather/kydex IWB or a Spartan Village kydex OWB. OS is right about them being on the chunky side. It's not a featherweight but I don't think it's heavy either. Pretty accurate for a 3" and has ran good with any ammo I've put through it.

I got one about a year ago to carry when I go hiking. I love the gun, it's very accurate, and it conceals very well, just not so much for pocket carry which I also wanted. I thought it would work for pocket carry better than it turned out to be. It's just a little too fat to conceal well in a regular pocket (big pockets are OK.) But I am a XD fan and this was my fourth one. But I still find myself carrying my LCP most of the time. I love it for concealability.

I'd had an XD40sc for several years, but my wife decided she likes it.  She carried a Kahr K40 before taking the XD.

I'm a 40 fanboy but the 9's in the XD's have magnificent capacity.

Yep, that 13+1 seems like some kind of hat trick.

It's Voodo! In relation to a .40 it's 9 to 13 and 12 to 16 magazine capacities. If you compare it to a Glock your looking at 9 to 10 and 12 to 16.

I had an XDsc 40. Phenomenal little gun I loved it. On a whim I traded it for G26 (which I don't regret at all) but I so miss the XDsc. It can be a bit snappy with hotter loads but the grip length was enough for me control it and I have medium hand size.

Ive got the XD 40 sub c and an an xds 45. I enjoy both, the sub c 40 was my first SA, its comfortable and has worked as a backup for me.Always worked it at the range with both hands in different positions, worked like a champ, flawlessly.Great little pistol! But,I dont think you'd regret it     The xds 45 is a whole diff animal....dont base one on the other...

I have an XD9SC that I love.

Same here.  It conceals well, it shoots good.

The only possible quirk is that it might be a bit small to wrap your pinky finger around.  Even I have smaller hands, and had that problem.  Getting a Pearce extension (about $10-11 at your local gunstore) took care of that.  It certainly made a difference in the feel of the gun and helped my shooting.
