What Is Your Family Christmas Tradition, Quirky or Not

My family tradition? Eh. Get up, have breakfast, open up the gifts sometime or another... then about eight hours later, eat turkey! That's about it.

I started one last year, just wife, son, daughter and myself.

Give thanks for the day.

Open the gifts, eat.

Then we go into the back yard and shoot a lot, some of every firearm we own.

Daughter is with her boy friend in Al this year, so it

will be wife, son, his girl friend and me.

My family doesn't really have any particular traditions. My wife's family's tradition is to yell "Christmas Gift!" at one another when they first see each other. The first to say it is the winner.

I like this. Getting up early and having a cup of coffee is my favorite part of the day.

It's strange when it's 80 degrees outside on Christmas though.

I hope everyone has a great Christmas!

I just re-read this thread and when I read Ulrich's post I heard his voice.
