Million Gun March?

Recommended Posts

Does anyone see this as a helpful stance for our 2nd amendment? I believe it would be peaceful. If it wasn't, it would be very bad for gun rights. The people who would protest it don't have guns anyway.
Just thinking outside the box.

Nah. Not unless it was a hundred million gun march. Besides, it will happen eventually. About the time everyone's

tipping point is reached. I would rather not see that day.

I dont want to eather.

A march would not work, getting all the people even close would be tuff.

A million calls or letters would accomplish more than a million gun owner march, and much easier to organize.

if someone could actually get one million gun owners to stand on the mall, armed or unarmed, congress would truly take notice.

Can you imagine a million armed people in DC?  What would the cops do?  It would be very interesting.

I believe the Military would be called, then it would be more guns/tanks and other things.

It would have the possibilities of going bad quickly. Edited by vontar

Tiananmen square, version 2. I would like to think knowing since I am an SOB, I'm a polite SOB. I'd rather see the radicals

make the first move, since they are so brave. But I do agree with your intent. :D

The intent is the thought. I don't believe too much heed is paid to our emails or letters. Some type of effort needs to grab the attention of the elected officials. They are not smart enough to understand that they can't regulate the criminals. I will have the ability to protect myself, my family, and others from them one way or another. I don't want to find myself up against a full auto AK aquired illegally when I have a single shot .410!

The government will eventually make enough laws to find all the criminals they need to regulate society. We don't

seem to be able to agree on how to elect the right, responsible people to keep this in check. Laws are only passed

to make another class of people into criminals, nowadays, and are being passed for all the wrong reasons. If we

marched on the Plaza with a million, we might as well be armed, because there have been probably that many when

Glenn Beck had one of his things there, and look at what the media did to that. Hardly a peep. The elected ones and

the bureaucrats live in a completely different world and could care less about us. The only time you could do a march

on DC, peacefully is on the weekend. Any other time would be next to impossible. Go drive in that town if you want to

find out. Rush hour is close to all day long on a weekday. It would take a lot of resolve and would need to be on a

weekday to get anyone's attention in that town.

I would recommend an unarmed march right down the busiest roads and be prepared for a couple days worth of a

march. Stirring up so much of a traffic jam, that work would be delayed, would be what it would take to get the kind

of attention needed. Anyone here ready to do that? A million or so?

Like Cloward and Piven said about "overwhelming the system", that's exactly what we would have to do, except we

aren't welfare cheats.

I can see the news headlines now: "D.C. Invaded By Nutcase NRA TeaParty Militia Revolutionaries."

The other issue is responsible gun owners have jobs so we can buy more ammo and reloading components and occasionally eat. :P

Been to DC several times. Wasn't just thinking of there but everywhere. Most people who work (us) wouldn't be able to make the trip. Edited by flyanything

The NRA needs to organize something. I believe most of us would show up at least locally. Heck, I've driven to Washington for lesser causes, so for this one I'd be willing to protest the anti-2A politicians in DC! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Edited by JohnC

If there was a million gun owner march on anything the NRA would seperate themselves from it.

Million gun owner (unarmed) in DC, yes they might take notice. Armed would be a problem and would not help the cause.

So AR, you are saying we should all grab 5 day packs and instead of a Bug Out, do a Bug In to DC.

Arrive from say 5 different directions with about 200,000 per direction on a Monday morning

Walk in and camp out for several day.

(carry everything one would need for a bug in so one would not need to shop at local business)  Kind of a Occupy movement.

I have told my wife if needed I will at least go to Nashville.

(depends if I can leave my job long enough with out getting fired)

The sentiment for such a movement is heart felt. But truly, it would be a dream come true for the statists/socialists/gun grabbing obamabots. The Reichstag fires would be a game of patty cake compared to what could happen. Yes, a plant cracks off a few rounds or worse and all hell breaks loose.  And just to think they would have 1 million die hards all together? Could be the bloodiest day in U.S history and the left would not shed one tear of pity. They would love it if the fedgov gassed, bombed and machine gunned the crowd. Get all the trouble makers at once. It could only go bad in my humble opinion.

They'll find out if Feinstein's bill get's passed.

I dont think making calls or sending emails is going to do a thing, in the long run. The only way anything meaningful is going to happen is if we get out there and make it happen. If we just sit back and make phone calls and send emails while the other side is out there protesting or whatever who do you think is going to win?

If we dont stop it now, we will loose this country to the left very quickly if its not already to late. Thats just my opinion on the matter.

And that would be a million NRA members, not re-newing their member ship! That's $35,000,000.00 less for the NRA.

There's only one valid purpose for a million armed gun owners to assemble in Washington, D.C.

- OS

And you can pretty much figure that if there are a million armed gun owners in D.C.  The elected Government will not be there.
