556 vs 300 Win Mag - brass comparison

It kind of makes you chuckle when you see how small a 556 really is.

You can almost stick the 5.56 brass inside the .300 Win mag. But you know the 5.56/.223 is nothing more than a killing machine.

Unfortunately its not mine, belongs to a coworker.  Some family had it in England and he brought it back.  If you stick your head in the shell and sniff, you can still smell the cordite.  He didn't get a single question coming back through customs.  He says another relation has an 8" shell casing, but it was too big to fit in his luggage.
