Polymer Lower

Would you use a polymer lower to build anything but a dedicated .22lr? Just seems like they would not stand up to much more, not bashing polymer, I own 90% poly guns. Just thinking that the pin holes would wear out way fast, not like a handgun with metal rails. Or am I not putting enough faith in the plastic? Just a random thought that keeps poping in my head.

There are some strong polymers out there, nowadays. Consider the tension on the springs in an AR lower. That's

about it that would cause the wear. Those pins could be reduced to no real tension with KNS pins, if there's any at

all on them, normally.

I don't see anything wrong with a polymer lower.

Reports so far are all pretty positive, except for the concessional complaint I see on forums that holes weren't put in correct place or were at an angle or something, but you see that on rare occasions for an aluminum lower run too.
