Anti Gouging Ammo Thread

With everyone (me too) complaining about ammo prices going up sharply this past week or so, I thought I'd share a source that I use that is not jacking up prices.

 

I just ordered (again) from www.surplusammo.com and their prices are the same as they were a couple of weeks ago.  Their stock is lower than usual but they still have 9mm, 45, and 7.62x51 in stock and in bulk.

 

This is not MY sale and I have nothing to do with them other than being a regular customer.  Just passing this on to save some people from opportunistic pricing.

thanks i have another 100 cases to pick up on wensday along with some 223 dont know how much 223 yet but i am sure that it will be less than 50 cents per round

what i sold this week was 7.99 per box  but i dont know yet how much it will cost next week  of 20

What some call gouging others call supply and demand. If you don't like the price, don't buy it and that action reduces demand, and subsequently, prices.

Very tue. Everyone that has supply may sell it for any price where there is sufficient demand. When scarcity exists people with demand often overlook available supply. If we find good supply resources we can reduce market prices overall by sharing them to mitigate demand pressure.

Recently, I wanted Scar17 mags and didn't know where to find any at a good price. A good TGO member posted a link to a store that had some at good prices. I ordered a few and the next day all were gone. I'm just trying to pay it forward.

Gouging has its place in economics and is actually necessary to preserve supply for those that need those products the most. The only effective way to reduce the impact of gouging is finding more supply. Vendors that increases prices when there is a (hopefully) short term problem are only reacting to increased demand and are in no way in the wrong for doing so.

High prices in response to shortages are crucial to create new sellers to Enter the market - if demand was high and prices stayed low, what incentive woul there be for sellers to create additional inventory to meet demand. Like it or not, price increases during shortages are good.

i havent had any price hikes yet on anything but brass

i dont plan on raising prices here but they need to watch out in texas

gotta get my truck fixed first i cant belive 2 weeks for an engine swap
