Buddy just sent text (he is 6'5' & ~300 lbs (big guy)

"CRAZY CRAZY CRAZY!!!  IM LEAVING!!  I Did find David and bought the 223 but nothing else.  Customers pushing, rude, angry - I've had enough!"

Wow.  glad I did not go.

Just got back from seeing David. Not too crowded. I'm sure tomorrow morning will be a spectacle. Price has gone up $10 for one day $15 for all weekend. Saw Volunteer Ordinance selling a Sig M400 for $2499, same gun you could buy at Walmart for $900. Saw several walkers with ARs but didn't bother to ask because I wouldn't be able to keep a straight face when they answered. David said a guy earlier walking around with Pmags for $75 a piece. David said if you've sent him a message he probably didn't get it due to how hectic it was today. Edited by Lumber_Jack

It was a good show if you need $40 pmags.

I bought primers and powder from David and got the heck out of there.

Public service announcement:   A Jacobs Building gun show is not a good place to be pushing a huge stroller.

But you can buy a heater at Home Depot :)

On a side note, I have noticed that anything that isn't on the ban list has dropped in price. I found some CZ452's for $250 and some Mossberg 500's (not Mavericks) for $200. They were not at the show but elsewhere.

You did not happen to find any CZ452 Americans in 22LR for 250 did you. If so send me a PM as to where please. Just got back from show. Got there at 3:30 it was crowded but no line at the door. Picked up supplies from David and found a Contender 44 Mag barrel for $130. Crowd pretty well thinned out by time I left. Parking lot was as definately as full as I have ever seen it.

I was a little too late, arrived around 1:15pm, after waiting 45 minutes to get in, the brass was gone from David.  I was able to stock up on lots and lots of primers and powders!  I was able to snap these photos, first is viewing the right side of the Jacobs building, the second is the viewing of the left side of the Jacobs building a few seconds apart while I tried to park.  Ended up parking bascially at the zoo, the real zoo!
HOLY $%^& That is freaking NUTS! Neil, you must have turned into a claustrophile -- "not too crowded"? - OS
I was there about 4 pm. It really wasn't very crowded. Seems most people were leaving. I'd say the pandemonium will start all over in the morning.

I went there today. There weren't any deals on components. The gun dealers had there skinning knives extra sharp. They wanted to give close to nothing for a gun you had for sale, but were extra special in love with what they had for sale. The parts kit AR 15's that were going for $500-$600 bucks before Obama was reelected were going for $1200-$1500. My only thought as I walked out the door was " If Obama was to run again, I'll bet those dealers would vote for him again".  I overheard two dealers talking about the meeting they attended before the doors opened and where the prices were fixed. I haven't been to this show in a while but I thought $10 to get in was a bit stiff. If I recall, the last time I went it cost me $7 to get in. If I go to a gun store, I expect to pay a bit more because these folks have to pay for the lights and salary's. But a lot of these dealers have a trailer for a store and a store front for an address on their FFL.

Now if this don't get me in do do up to my neck, I don't know what will. This is just my two cents worth.

With all the mainstream worker bees that can only go on weekends, I'd say so!

Still thinking I'd like to see it tomorrow for "historical documentation" but not sure I'm actually gonna go in. I'd wager there's a chance they might have to limit entrance if they abide by capacity code.

If I was the promoter of this show, I believe $50 entrance fee vs. $10 would have not stopped the madness, and I would have charged $10 to park.  If Dollywood can charge a huge fee to park, so should a Gun Show, and people would have paid it!  Gun shows of the future may be just a traveling roadside museum.  They better make their money now!

I'd love to hear the whereabouts of the CZ452's as well.

If I make it to the show tomorrow, I would like to pick up some small rifle primers from you. Do you still have a good supply of those left?

My buddy was impressed with you and your crew, and felt for you guys.  He related 5-6 stories of bad behavior in just the hour or so he was at the show.
