I was in Gulfport today, while taking a break I stepped into a gun shop. Wow, are they living fat on the hog. Blazer 9mm alum. case $29. per box. Blazer brass $35. Winchester white box .38 spl. $41. Federal K case 55 gr. $1500. As I was leaving, I held the door for a lady with 2 large bags. And she thanked me.

I've been buying and reloading now for nearly 5 years and to say the least last count I had on 223 ammo is right at 140,000 rounds 9mm 25,000 rnds 45 auto 52,000 rnds and for 22 LR over 200,000 rnds. We won't even get into primers and powder stored way.

went in outpost today off exit 89 on 24, yeah they had ammo, but just like everywhere it was way overpriced. $50 for a brick of 22lr. they had plenty of it too, I just cant bring myself to pay that much for 22lr

Wait a while, it will go back down. Once supply is greater than demand, prices should go back to before CT.

So to all you knuckleheads buying all the ammo as soon as it gets into the stores, Stop. lol

The outpost is always higher than any place I've visited. I'm surprised they are still in business to be honest. As mentioned give it some time the shelves will fill up and the prices will go down to normal in a few weeks/months

I have a dealership thru many suppliers and when they run sales I usually buy 5000-10,000 rnds at a time or get a deal on powder and buy a keg or two at a time. Same goes with primers I'll purchase 4-5 cases at a time. I don't have an FFL so I pay what you guys pay. I've been buying firearms now for 25 yrs and I typically avg 3 a month and I've probably sold off 30 at most. And I regret doing that. It's about looking forward and planning, I know many cant or don't have the opportunity to buy like I have. But ammo was cheap at one time. No excuses really.....

So, is it a manufacturing issue, or just a demand issue?
