I'm voting Democrat

I found this on WorldNetDaily and wanted to pass it along for y'all to add to it.

I'm voting Democrat because I believe that the best strategy in war is defeat. It broadens the mind to learn Japanese, German and Arabic. Talk about multiculturalism!

I'm voting Democrat because I'm mad that George W. Bush hasn't caught bin Laden. That's because bin Laden is the only Islamic terrorist in the world.

I'm voting Democrat because I believe that if I don't have enough money, the solution is for the government to take more of my money. Who needs money when gas is $5 per gallon?

I'm voting Democrat because I believe that the ideal family is two homosexual bonobos, a goat and a parrot raising a human baby. Love and compassion is all it takes to make a successful family!

I'm voting Democrat because it's my body, and if I want to kill my baby, I'll do it, even if its head is in the birth canal. If I want to cut out my intestines and feed them to the crocodiles, I'll do that too. That's the freedom our forefathers enshrined in the Constitution.

I'm voting Democrat because our enemies on the battlefield deserve comfy hotel rooms, Pay-Per-View, prostitutes and all the benefits of American citizenship.

I'm voting Democrat because I believe we need other countries' permission for me to turn down my thermostat.

I'm voting Democrat because I care about the real victims of crime – criminals.

I'm voting Democrat because the real cure for racism includes preferential policies based on race – particularly in presidential voting. If you believe that a black candidate ought to be qualified, as well as black, you're worse than Bull Conner.

I'm voting Democrat because everyone deserves crappy health care. Sure, you'll have to wait years for that life-saving cancer surgery. But it's first come, first served at the cemetery!

I'm voting Democrat because I believe in minority rights (except in Muslim countries), free speech (with regard to pornography but not conservative talk radio), environmentalism (unless we're talking about Al Gore's house) and diplomacy (but never backed by the threat of military force).

I'm voting Democrat because I like the words "hope" and "change." Also "kazoo." That's a funny word.

I'm voting Democrat because I believe that America's founders were rich, white, greedy xenophobes and that America's founding principles are hogwash requiring periodic editing from an unelected group of liberal judges.

Most of all, I'm voting Democrat because I like the ideas they have over in France, but I don't feel like moving there. I'll threaten to move, but I really won't. After all, I have a good job, health care, lower taxes, free speech and a social framework that promotes family structure. And all of it is defended by the most effective fighting force on the planet.

If only the institution of far-left values resulted in a great country. Oh, well. That won't stop me from voting Democrat, though. After all, I'm voting Democrat because thought isn't one of my strong suits.

I'm voting Democrat because I believe that the more people are dependent on government the more government can do for the people.

Is there anyone in this forum that is a dem and feels they can back it up?

If so feel to start a thread so we don't hijack this one any further. A good debate on why anyone, much less a gun owner would vote liberal would be good.

No "feelings" please. We all have those...just some facts for civil discussion please.

The media would never give an independent adequate coverage. Without getting their agenda out most people would stay with one party or the other.---MP

I dunno about here, but over at THR there are a fair number of Democratic gunnies. Heck, you can go to a cesspool like Democratic Underground and find very pro-gun folks there. I don't think that the two philosophies are necessarily mutually exclusive.

That's exactly right. And that's exactly why, we, as a country, need to force the issue. It's beyond me how anyone could possibly consider themselves, and vote strictly as a Democrat or Republican, for any reason. There is no way in hell that anyone could honestly agree with 100% of the policies on either side of the fence.

The two party system sucks, and needs a complete makeover. In fact, the entire inner-workings of the government needs a complete makeover. It's become little more than the blind leading the blind. We follow them like a bunch of beaten puppy dogs.

True feelings, beliefs and ideas have taken a backseat to greed and corruption in our government, and we sit back and let it continue. As I stated earlier, the lobbyists run this country. Our polotician are bought and paid for by big corporations and extremely wealthy special interest groups. They employ these slimeball lobbyists to bribe our politicians into seeing things their way. And God knows, these slimeball lobbyists have no honor to anyone except to the highest bidder. These maggots will sell their souls to the Devil. The Devil who's willing to dish out the most cash.

The whole process is beyond frustrating to me, and it's hard for me to understand why we put with it.

We put up with it because the alternatives stink. Take a look at a real parliamentary system, like Israel. You have never seen as much horse trading and whoremonging going on as right after an election and parties are trying to cobble together a winning coalition.

I do not believe my vote will be based on one issue. I find that short sighted.

Pretty much this time around I will not vote for the Dem candidate, but it is for a lot of reasons aside from guns.

I do not believe in socialism, that is the biggest reason I will not vote for Obama.

And to add, I have never in my life voted for a republican presidential candidate.

O.K. Ill admit to it I am a Democrat. Im not ashamed of it. Im also disillusioned with them and will never vote for Obama, i wouldnt have voted for Hilliary either. The party has gone way too far left for me. Saying that the Republicans are a little to catering to the rich, corporate basta*ds robbing us daily of or hard earned bread. Is life better after G.W. nope! So her I am voting for Mccain when i really dont like him, because hes the better of two evils. Third party anyone?

I'm a Democrat and would argue that any true Democrat (or "liberal" whatever that is these days) would/should/must support the 2A (and all the other As as welll)

I'm primarily a Democrat due to social and labor issues. Neither party supports a sound fiscal policy, so its a wash there. The GOP is too tied to the religious right, a group with which I disagree with on a great many things. I've spent most of my adult life examining and re-examining my beliefs and convictions. And I've changed my mind on several things over that time. But I've never come close to leaving behind core principles that more closely align me to the left than the right.

I understand where you're coming from, but I'd like to think we have more options. I don't believe what we currently have, and what is going on in Israel are our only 2 options. I agree, our system is likely better than most (if not all) other countries, but that doesn't mean there isn't room for improvement.
