He used the rifle as the primary, there was a semi-auto shotgun in the trunk.  Lots of bad info floating around based on poor reporting, jumping to conclusions.  Not sure who is worse, politicians or the media.  Do we have to pick?

Funny that Piers Morgan was going ape$h!t about the shooter using an AR that no one should be able to own, and it turns out that maybe the shooter didn't use an evil AR at all.  Maybe someday they will realize that when a person commits themselves to an act of evil, it does not really matter what tools they choose to carry out their plans.

 

....I know they won't actually think about anything...they never do.

charging handle for a Hi Point is on the left side of the rifle. In the video it appeared the cop was using a charging handle on the right side.

If you look close, the "round" that came out as the guy cycled it looked bigger than a small rifle round. Looked like a shot shell to me. I second the semi auto pistol grip shotgun

I've seen it reported several times that it was a Saiga shotgun. Definitely looks like it in the video.
