Buffoon......

The Heller decision I think they has some huge stumbling blocks as far as the AR is concerned even if they pass a ban. The verbiage of "commonly owned and used arms for legal purposes etc...." I'd say the AR comfortably falls within those parameters.

No, not surprised....I have no illusions about the sort of tripe "gun control laws" they will propose; it will be all the stuff they've been salivating over for decades.

  • Complete banning of all "assault weapons" with a very broad definition of an assault weapon.
  • Ban on high capacity mgazines
  • Ban personal cary
  • Ban most or all "killer" bullets, again with a broad definition
  • Microstamping
  • Forced registration of all firearms
  • Limits on how many firearms and how much ammunition can be purchased in set periods of time (day, week, month, three months) with complete reporting to BATFE of what was purchased and who purchased.
  • Banning of all personal firearm transactions (every sale/purchase must go through a background check).
  • Waiting period established on purchase of a firearm

In the end I believe they will do all they can to make owning a firearm a matter of national registration, so expensive as to be prohibitive to many and virtually impossible to carry outside of your home.

Those are just a off the top of my head of the kinds of things they'll propose - some of this stuff may or may not come with a grandfather clause but I'm sure they'll push for not having one.
