Dick's Pulls ARs

I don't bother to shop at Dick's anyway-  bad selection, high prices.

I did pop into Academy in Cool Springs today-  no .223 to be found, other than those that cost $1 or more per round.

They usually have a whole bunch of AR's in stock-  there were 2 left when I was there.

Y'all can poo poo Dick's all ya want, but to deny that it's a significant finger on the pulse of what may come is whistling past the graveyard.

Same with indicators from CTD, Walmart, Cerberus, etc.

And perhaps the biggest indicators, even though firearm sales are through the roof, all major firearms companies stocks have fallen. SW and Ruger are down around 20% for example.

CTD has announced suspending online sales of certain firearms and they have magpul  pmags for 59.97 each in stock

The Oak Ridge Walmart Sporting Goods Clerk told me today that they pulled the AR's out of the case because that section of the case had a broken lock, but that he could go look in the back and see what was left.  He said he thougth they had one left.

Yeah there is another thread discussing that, but if you buy a Pmag for 59.97 you deserve to loose your money, cause you. are. stupid.

I went to Walmart in Paris this morning to purchase some ammo. I shoot a few rounds of trap every week and was running low on shells. This was after I read a few threads on ammo / gun shortages so I paid particular attention to inventory, etc.

No joke, just as I entered through the sliding doors I heard the intercom announcing for sporting goods to pick up line such and such. I heard that announcement three times making my way directly to the sporting goods section. On arrival to the counter there was only one gal behind the counter fielding call after call saying things like, no we don't put guns on hold etc. We won't get another shipment until...

I was surprised I was the only one in person at the counter and she was on the phone the whole time there. They only had 4 of the 12 ga. #7-1/2 value pack shot shells left, now they have zero. They had a quantity of individual boxes of shells though. I wanted to ask the gal a few questions but her attention and mind was on the phone.

They didn't have any Colt or S&W AR-15's in the display case as they usually do, and the gun display case was about 1/3 empty. Where they store the .45 auto and 9 mm on the right bottom shelf in the display case appeared to be gone and I didn't see any value packs of anything for a handgun. The case had about 1/2 the ammo it usually has. Also bought the last 5 pack of 12 ga. 00 buck shot they had since I was there anyway.

Let the good times begin

This is what politically correct coward cronies do. Reminds me of John Boehner.

Dicks and WM are only pulling weapons frpm stores located around the shooting.

they didn't say how many stores or what the exact locations were.

Went to wally-world in colonial heights today to get a brick of. 22, and they were just selling the last AR that they had in stock. The Guy who works the counter (nice Guy, very knowledgeable) was trying to order more, but was unsure if corporate would allow it.

Dick's removed all firearms from store nearest NewTown and suspended sales of  "modern sporting rifles" (ARs) nationwide.

yep, and we can speak with our dollars. The only thing I've bought from dicks is their ammo and only when it's on sale. I won't be doing that again.

Boehner reminds me of a pussy, HarryReid reminds me of a dick.

Hmm...

I was wrong. That's never happened to me before. I'm not sure how to explain this feeling I have right now. I think I'll go lie down now

AR style rifles have disappeared form Academy.com's website also.  They still have a few in stock on the floor according to the counter worker I spoke with.

This is getting ridiculous! I was hoping that Academy would at least hold out. Did Bass Pro ever have them on their website? Because if they did, they aren't there now. I never looked at their website that much so not sure if they were there, but it seems like there were a few?

I don't buy guns from Dick's or Walmart anyway since they won't carry handguns. The fact that they do sell handgun ammunition just makes them look like hypocrites in my book.
