What would be my best bet for 22lr ammo with the least amount of ftf and fte problems with an AR15 with a 22lr conversion kit? Or does it matter???

(Sorry if this is in the wrong category)

Thanks,

Almost anything except Federal.

I was going to say I have never had a Federal 525 bulk pack failure. :)

Curious. Mine will absolutely not eat it.

The CCI "AR Tactical" stuff works well. I aslo have some old stuff I got at WM in bulk pack (525) Winchester Western that has worked well. Pretty much anything high velocity and plated will work well.

One thing I've learned about the .22 AR is every one of them has a different taste in ammo.

For mine Mini-mags and Fed 550 bulk work the best, Win bulk is the worst with a failure about every 25 rounds.

CCI MiniMags are where I'd start. Then I try some cheaper ammo and see if it will still run.

I'd stay away from the full lead nose rounds. They seem to give me the most fits.

When I got my CMMG conversion it stated in the directions that Remington Golden Bullets are what they used for testing the unit on. I had been buying them in bulk from wal mart. I have had no issues.

I have an hbar with a 22 conversion and it loves mini mag hp and federal bulk hp. Just makw sure to get copper washed or plated to reduce lead fowling and always run some .223 afterwards
