Would like some information on this fnar 308? Specifically is it built the same as any other AR... Same components, lower, upper, d.i. or gas piston. Or is it more like a hunting rifle in semi auto? Can I change components like but stock for grip ect???

Thanks for info

Short answers to your questions: no, kind of, no. The FNAR is based on the Browning BAR platform. It is nothing like an AR.

The good: It is sub MOA accurate and is a joy to shoot.

The bad: Magazines are expensive and you have to put a scope on it. It is not a light rifle (10-ish pounds with a loaded magazine and scope).

I second this...excellent gun...i got the winchester version (why didnt they call it a WAR) the SX-AR and its way more accurate than me...mags are hard to get and $$$ though.  One really cool thing is the way its setup you can easily work the action like a bolt gun when firing low powered ammo, single shots, and plastic training rounds.
