What are these like? Was considering an ArmaLite, but one of the guy's over at NA said the build quality was fairly close, and definitely worth the cost savings if I wasn't too worried about the brand.

 

Or if you all have any other suggestions to look at, I do not want a bunch of hokey pokey mall ninja stuff on it, and do not want to piece one together (it may cost more but I don't feel like fiddling with it). All we're looking for is a good solid general purpose one

I spoke with a volunteer at Stones River Gun range who has one and uses it in long range competition shooting. It must be a fairly decent rifle. I have an Armalite AR 10.

These two ArmaLite AR10's accept MAGPUL mags if you wanted a better mag option than their regular AR10's have.

Went ahead and picked this baby up along with another toy today. Now the hard part is figuring out what optics to put on  :)

The Nikon M-308 scopes are nice and they make a mount to go with it.

Well, I can tell you if weight is a concern, the nikon scopes weigh more than the Leupold.

Everyone who picks up my Colt LE 6920 comments it feels a bit heavy.

I also have a Troy rail and MAKO G2 Grip-pod.

You may wish to consider the BurrisEliminator II series of scopes (Nikon has a similar scope). These scopes find the range and calculate the shot wih a single press of a button. Prices are $799, 999 and $1599. I would paste a link to it on OpticsPlanet, but my tablet won,t let me.

Anyone know off hand if any ar10 mags will work in this or does it take a certain type? I was looking at the 20 round pmags, but can't seem to find a list anywhere stating what will work in this specific model.

I've got a Bushmaster 308 and my PMags work just fine in it.
