Won't let my wife take the HCP class because she's pregnant

No OB doc in his right mind would give you permission in writing.  If the baby is not 'perfect' any lawyer would have a cake walk taking him to the cleaners.  While no range is going to tell you there are problems, all have some airborne lead.  I would not risk my unborn child's hearing or health.  If something showed up later on, you would certainly have some 'what ifs".

@Lester I agree it is a very interesting subject. The boy turned out to be quite intelligent and so far hasn't developed any habits involving flies and wings ;) so we are hopeful! 

 

Hadn't thought about the absence of stress being a bad thing. Like with most things, Life finds a way. So if some stress is around, might as well make it useful...

 

Oh yea...what chances R (and others) said above as well. Why take the chance?

Can't remember if it was in the IDPA or USPSA magazine (think it was IDPA) that had a woman shooting a major match while pregnant and it looked like she could go into labor at any time.
