Anyone else got a FN FNP9?

I got the Stainless Steel version in 9mm on Friday. I shot it Friday afternoon but it felt a little sluggish. All of the rounds went bang and the shots went where I wanted them to go (at least close to where I wanted). The slide felt like it was slow cycling. Is this a problem with these guns? Could it be that it was new? The gun fits great in your hands, and mine came with the Blade Tech holster, double mag pouch, training barrel and 3 mags. Give me your thoughts please.

I had one for a little while and i really liked it. They, like all new guns, need at least 500 rnds to break them in.

FNPs cycle slow. It's just the nature of the heavy slide. My FNP .45 cycles slower than any pistol I've ever fired... but the recoil is very low, for a .45.

The slow cycling just felt funny. I wanted to make sure that the gun wasn't screwed up. I will try a few hundred more rounds before I pass final judgement. If the 40 has lighter recoil because of the heavier slide we might have a winner in the carry gun divison.

I've always thought that the FNP series was an underrated gun.

If I was "in" to DA/SA, the FNP would be on my shortlist.

ITs an FN...it will treat you right...but I hear stay away from the .40's unless some recall has been performed....look for more info..but i heard stay away....kinda like the older glocks ;-D

I'm hoping for an upgrade for my first generation, decock-only FNP-45 to the current version which incorporates a safety into the lever. I'd like to carry the gun cocked and locked, and the DA mode simply be a redundancy.

I know Buds has the new SAO version, which I would go for in a heartbeat. The only thing I didn't like about mine was the initial DA. It was very good for a DA, but coming from mainly SA guns, it just didn't fit me well.
