Handmade bow and arrows

I asked some questions about a bow for survival use a while back. I was just sitting here today, thinking about how I handmake my blades, and would love to make a long lasting, traditional style bow. Has anyone ever made one? Would anyone be willing to help me out on wood choice, shaping, sting making/selection, arrow making? I'll make my own heads by either knapping or steel heads, but would love to make a few bows. Any help is appreciated.
